Bio-Tuning® is protected bytwo US patents.
The first covers the hardware — the NeuroWave® Table and Chair, with their patented bilateral split-resonator architecture and Golden Ratio resonance chambers. The second covers the methodology — the real-time HRV system that identifies each client's Fundamental Frequency by detecting the precise moment of autonomic nervous system homeostasis.
Both inventions are credited to Dr. Jeffrey D. Thompson, founder of the Center for NeuroAcoustic Research. Below: plain-English breakdowns of what each patent actually covers — links to the canonical USPTO and Google Patents records included.

Sound Delivery System For Vibro-acoustic Treatment
Bilateral split-resonator with golden-ratio-rectangle chambers — the hardware that powers the NeuroWave® Table and Chair.
What it covers
A sound delivery system that stimulates the two hemispheres of the brain separately by delivering different vibro-acoustic vibrations to the left and right sides of the body. The split resonator includes a left and right resonator member, each with its own transducer, mechanically isolated so vibrations cannot pass between sides. Each resonator is dimensioned as a golden-ratio rectangle with a matching amplifying box for sympathetic resonance — distributing sound throughout the body's tissue mass.
Key claims (in plain English)
- 1
Independent left/right transducer pairs deliver discrete vibration signals — the brain's bilateral vibration sense centers receive different frequencies in the same way binaural beats deliver different frequencies to each ear.
- 2
Mechanically isolated split resonator — no vibration crosstalk between the two halves, ensuring the brain actually generates a difference frequency rather than receiving an averaged signal.
- 3
Golden-ratio rectangle dimensions on every resonator member and amplifying box — drives sympathetic resonance for fuller, more even sound distribution through the body's tissues.
- 4
Direct vibro-acoustic delivery transmits ~25× the energy that headphones can deliver safely, without ear-damage risk.

Methodology, Use And Benefits Of Neuroacoustic Frequencies For Assessing And Improving The Health And Well-being Of Living Organisms
Real-time HRV monitoring + frequency sweep identifies each person's Fundamental Frequency — the methodology behind the Lambda HRV Interface.
What it covers
A method (and system) for objectively determining a person's Fundamental Frequency: the autonomic nervous system is continuously monitored via real-time heart rate variability (RT-HRV) — separated into its sympathetic (SNS) and parasympathetic (PSNS) components — while a frequency sweep stimulus (vibration, light, or sound) is applied. The frequency at which the SNS and PSNS components reach equilibrium is the subject's Fundamental Frequency. That frequency is then used as the basis for personalized neuroacoustic treatment.
Key claims (in plain English)
- 1
Real-time monitoring of the autonomic nervous system, decomposed into SNS and PSNS components, using established HRV spectral standards (European Task Force, AHA, AACP).
- 2
Frequency-sweep stimulus (vibration, light, or sound) applied to the subject during real-time ANS monitoring.
- 3
Homeostasis detection — the precise moment SNS and PSNS components become substantially equal — identifies the Fundamental Frequency.
- 4
Computing system architecture coupling the HRV monitor, frequency application device, and analysis software into a single integrated workflow for clinical use.
